MLC Corporate privacy policy

The Meat & Livestock Commission (MLC) takes Data Protection very seriously; and has put in place a number of systems to ensure your data is stored securely.

Access to certain services provided as part of the site located at http://www.mlc.org.uk require that we are able to identify you via a secure login and account system. In order to deliver to you the relevant functionality you may be asked to submit personal data to us via a web form; in which case your data will then be held securely on our systems. Unique identifying data like passwords are kept encrypted and MLC staff do not have access to them.

We may also send small packets of information to your computer (“cookies”) which enable us to remember who you are the next time you visit the site, as well as acting as part of the overall authentication system in place for certain site functions. These cookies contain data which cannot be identified to you personally but which are interpretable by our servers.

The MLC will never knowingly release any data to any external person or organisation unless it is required to do so by law. At any time those users who hold MLC site accounts may request complete deletion of all their held data by contacting the site administrator.
